Beta Terms of Participation
1. Invitation-only beta
These terms govern participation in the RN Open Lab beta. The beta is a limited evaluation environment, is not a paid subscription, and may be changed, interrupted, reset, or withdrawn at any time. Access is granted only to approved testers who are at least 18 years old.
2. Personal access
Each tester receives an individual code. The tester may not share, transfer, publish, sell, or permit another person to use that code. Testers are responsible for promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access. Beta access may be suspended or terminated if a code is shared or misused.
3. Educational purpose and no guarantee
The beta is an educational study and product-evaluation tool. It is not a substitute for an accredited nursing program, faculty instruction, clinical judgment, professional advice, an official NCLEX candidate performance report, or guidance from a board of nursing. Participation does not guarantee graduation, licensure eligibility, or success on NCLEX or any other examination.
4. Limited permission to use the beta
Subject to these terms, the tester receives a limited, temporary, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use the beta solely for personal educational practice and authorized beta feedback. No ownership interest is transferred.
5. Protected content and prohibited copying
Questions, scenarios, answer choices, rationales, scoring methods, graphics, design, text, software, and compilations are protected content. Except for brief personal notes that do not reproduce a question or rationale, testers may not:
- Copy, photograph, screen-record, download, reproduce, or retain protected questions or rationales.
- Publish, post, transmit, email, message, or otherwise distribute protected content.
- Share content with classmates, instructors, tutoring clients, test-preparation companies, websites, forums, or social-media groups.
- Sell, license, sublicense, trade, or use content for tutoring, instruction, commercial preparation, or another product.
- Create derivative questions, question banks, study guides, datasets, models, or competing materials from protected content.
- Upload or submit protected questions, scenarios, answers, or rationales to an artificial-intelligence system, chatbot, model-training system, repository, or automated analysis service.
- Scrape, crawl, bulk-extract, reverse engineer, circumvent access controls, or use automated tools to collect content or tester data.
- Remove or alter copyright, beta, ownership, access-control, or attribution notices.
6. Lawful and respectful use
Testers may not use the beta to violate law; infringe intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights; impersonate another person; introduce malicious code; interfere with operation; gain unauthorized access; probe security; falsify data; harass others; or assist another person in prohibited conduct.
7. Activity collection and privacy
Participation includes collection of the information described in the Beta Privacy Notice, including name, code, program pathway, module activity, scores, and question-level responses. Optional background questions may be skipped. Acceptance of these terms records the accepted version and time.
8. Feedback
Testers may voluntarily provide comments, error reports, and suggestions. The beta operator may use that feedback to evaluate and improve the product without identifying the tester publicly. Feedback does not transfer ownership of a tester’s pre-existing materials.
9. Beta availability and changes
Features, questions, scores, and recommendations may change during testing. Data may be corrected or removed when needed to address errors, privacy requests, or security. Reasonable efforts will be made to preserve results, but uninterrupted access or permanent retention is not promised.
10. Suspension and termination
Access may be suspended or terminated for code sharing, copying, redistribution, unlawful conduct, security risk, misuse of tester information, material violation of these terms, or completion or cancellation of the beta. Provisions protecting content, privacy, disclaimers, and limitations survive termination where legally applicable.
11. Disclaimer
The beta is provided for evaluation in its current developmental condition. To the extent permitted by law, no warranty is made that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or suitable for a particular result. Clinical concerns or suspected content errors should be reported for review rather than relied upon without independent professional verification.
